1854. ANKER-TEPPICHBODEN was founded in 1854 and is today the oldest and largest carpet weaving mill in Europe.

19 awards. ANKER has received 19 national and international awards since 2006 for especially outstanding carpet design: e.g. GOOD DESIGN Award Chicago, red dot award best of the best, nominated for the German National Design Prize, Design Plus Award among others.

20.000 litres. The wet-dyeing procedure is dispensed with thanks to the use of pigment-dyed, solution-dyed yarns. This means we save 20,000 litres of fresh water and waste water per roll of carpet manufactured. ANKER today produces around 50% of its product range from solution-dyed fibres.

72 dpi. We obtain the most filigree patterns in the carpet with a count of 72 dpi using thermal embossing.

50%. ANKER-Teppichboden achieves up to 50% improvement in average sound absorption with SonicWave special backing finish.

32 steel pile wires make up the pile wire mechanism in an AWM dobby/wire loom.

For 37 years the 3-row woven carpet, manufactured by ANKER according to the design by Otto Herbert Hajek, lay in Lahnstein town hall, built in 1972/73. In 2010 the textile floor covering was reconstructed by ANKER as part of refurbishment of this historic building, true to the original.

360° Following the guiding principle of “360° Thinking and Action”, ANKER-TEPPICHBODEN has developed a comprehensive concept that defines concrete measures and goals for the areas of ecology, social responsibility and sustainability. The active involvement of employees and suppliers is likewise a constituent part of this programme.

320.000 s.qm. Production and manufacture at our company take place over an area of about 320,000 sq.m. Of these, 70,000 sq.m. are sealed surfaces, the rest are green spaces or agricultural areas.
